This Terms of Service (the "Agreement") is a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and The Luna Novel ("we", "the Website" or "thelunanovel.com") regarding your access to and use of our website, mobile applications and related services (collectively the "Services").

Please read and fully understand all contents of this Agreement before using the Services, especially the clauses highlighted in bold. You shall bear full responsibility for the security and confidentiality of your account email and password, and keep your account information under your own custody. All activities conducted under your account and the corresponding consequences shall be borne solely by you. Please properly keep your login information. We will not obtain or store your plaintext passwords in any way, nor shall we be liable for any losses, damage to rights or legal liabilities caused by your own reasons such as password leakage or account lending to others.

You warrant that the email address provided during registration is true, accurate, complete and valid, and you shall update it timely if there is any change. Any problems arising from false or incomplete information provided by you shall be borne by you alone.

2.1 Free Content

Partial novel chapters on the Website are free content, and you may browse all free content and chapters without registration.

2.2 Paid Unlockable Content

Certain novel chapters or full texts are paid content. You may purchase virtual currency ("Coins") via top-up to unlock paid single chapters or full novels. The specifications of Coin top-up packages and the quantity of unlockable content shall be subject to real-time display on the purchase page.

(1) One-Time Purchase Rights
Once you successfully unlock paid content via one-time payment, you may read such content permanently and unlimitedly under the corresponding account during the normal operation of the Website.

If such content has to be removed or truncated due to expiration of copyright authorization, requests from copyright owners, administrative orders, changes to laws and regulations, regulatory requirements or other reasons not attributable to our subjective fault, we shall not be liable for breach of contract or compensation, and we will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice where practicable.

2.3 Membership Subscription Service

We offer auto-renewable membership subscription services. The specific subscription cycles, tariff standards, benefit scope and relevant rules shall be subject to real-time details displayed on the subscription page at the time of your payment.

(1) Subscription Benefits
Within a valid subscription cycle, you have the right to unlock and read all paid content on the Website.

(2) Auto-Renewal & Cancellation
The subscription service adopts an auto-renewal mechanism. To guarantee service continuity, we will deduct the subscription fee for the next cycle from your authorized third-party payment account upon expiry of your current subscription cycle, and your membership benefits will renew automatically.

If you wish to terminate your subscription, you shall manually cancel the subscription on the Platform at least 24 hours before the end of the current cycle.

Special Note: We cannot operate cancellation of auto-renewal on your behalf; you must manually turn off the auto-renewal function on the Website under your logged-in account. We shall not be liable for fees deducted due to your failure to cancel the subscription before renewal.

(3) Post-Termination Rules
After expiry of your subscription, if you do not renew or have cancelled the subscription, you will no longer be able to read any paid chapters; however, content previously unlocked separately via "one-time purchase" may still be read in accordance with the provisions of II.2.2 (1) of this Agreement.

III. Virtual Currency (Coins) & Payment Instructions

3.1 Coin Purchase

You may purchase Coins through payment channels displayed on the Website. The contents, prices and bonus ratios of Coin top-up packages shall be subject to the purchase page and confirmation information at the time of your actual payment. Coins may only be used to unlock paid content on the Website, carry no cash value, and cannot be cashed out or transferred.

3.2 Payment Methods

All payment transactions (including Coin top-ups, single-chapter/full-book purchases and subscription renewals) are processed through third-party payment platforms, and fund settlement is completed independently by third-party payment service providers. We do not directly collect or retain your payment funds and account information.

3.3 Payment Security

You acknowledge and agree that payment processes, deduction rules and transaction security are provided and guaranteed by corresponding third-party payment service providers, and supported payment methods shall be subject to display on the payment page. The Website does not directly collect funds paid by users, and we only receive payment results to activate corresponding services. You shall comply with the terms of service and transaction rules of corresponding third-party payment platforms.

3.4 Payment Liability

We shall not be liable for any system failures, operational errors or other acts of third-party payment platforms. The Website is not responsible for payment failures, delayed arrival of funds, abnormal funds and other issues caused by third-party payment platforms, though we may assist you in communicating with payment channels to resolve such matters.

3.5 Pricing & Promotions

IV. Refund Policy

Unless otherwise mandated by mandatory laws, all top-up Coins, one-time unlocked paid content and membership subscription fees are non-refundable upon successful payment. (1) Copy, download or disseminate copyrighted paid novels and other protected content on the Platform via screen recording, transcription, screenshot, crawler grabbing or any other means;
(2) Share, resell or lend unlocked paid content to others, or use it for commercial operation and public dissemination for profit-making purposes;
(3) Use automated scripts, crawler software, plug-ins or other tools to batch-access or scrape Platform content, or disrupt and damage the normal operation order of the Platform;
(4) Maliciously register multiple accounts and exploit Platform loopholes for order brushing, coupon arbitrage or illegal withdrawal for profit;
(5) Publish or disseminate illegal, vulgar, violent, fraudulent content or information that infringes others’ legitimate rights and interests;
(6) Insult, slander, harass or conduct cyber violence against the Platform, its operators or other users;
(7) Other acts that violate laws and regulations or this Agreement, or harm the legitimate interests of the Platform and third parties.

6.2 User Code of Conduct

If you violate the above code of conduct, The Luna Novel may adopt one or a combination of measures including warning, partial function restriction, temporary account ban and permanent account ban, confiscation of illegal gains based on the severity of circumstances. Where criminal offences are suspected, the Platform reserves the right to report to relevant authorities and pursue legal liabilities. All losses and legal liabilities arising from violations shall be borne solely by you.

7.1 Disclaimer

The Services are provided on an "as available" and "as-is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express and implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, as well as warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

Except for the content removal circumstances specified in II.2.2 (1) of this Agreement, we shall not be liable for service interruption, data loss, unavailable rights or other losses caused by the following reasons:
(1) Force majeure events including but not limited to natural disasters, wars, terrorist attacks, strikes and government acts;
(2) Network, server or third-party service failures beyond our control;
(3) Faults of your own equipment or network connection;
(4) Losses caused by your own acts or negligence or breach of this Agreement.

We do not warrant that all content on the Website is accurate or reliable or meets your expectations. You shall bear all risks arising from reliance on reading content.

If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) for arbitration. The seat of arbitration shall be Hong Kong and the arbitration language shall be Chinese. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.
